Why do I have to pay more for the Hillcrest Donations if I attend the Banquet?

The Hillcrest donation is more at the Banquet - Companies have given us free dinners, movies tickets, entertainment tickets, etc. because we are giving back to the school.  The more expensive donations will be given out during the banquet.   The less expensive donations will be given out during the picnic and the Meet & Greet.

What if I already paid the full amount for my spouse?

You will receive a Cashier's Check in the amount of $45.00 which is the overage amount that you paid for your spouse.

What will we do at Jillian's?

We have reserved bowling lanes and billiard tables and some appetizers. We will give away prizes to the winners of the games.

What about parking at Jillian's?

What kinds of things will be at the picnic?

We will have Olympic style games for those who want to participate. We have exhibitors coming out with safety and health information with give-a-ways for the children and parents.  We have the Fire Department and The Sheriff's Department coming out to hand out safety information to the children.  We will have a Face painter/ Balloon Artist for the younger children and a someone who will come out for the teens.  We have also invited the Class of 1989 and the Class of 1987.

Why are we including those classes?

We have invited a lot of people to come out and provide information, give-a-ways, etc. and it would not be fair to them to only have a few people available.

If the other classes come do they have to pay?

They are welcome to bring their own food to the picnic, and participate in the challenge games, get information, etc. at no cost to them.  This is our class reunion and we need them.

Why are we giving a donation to Hillcrest?

Whether Hillcrest was the school we went to by choice or force, it is our Alma Mater.  The purpose of a reunion is not just to mix and mingle with each other, but it is a time for us to give back to our community.  The donation we are requesting is minimal to the amount of money that we should give back to our school.   We will vote as a Class as to how we want to offer the money - as a scholarship, buy a laptop, etc.  You donation is 100% tax deductible.

Jillian's is free to get in.  Can I just come and mingle?

Yes, we want to see all of our classmates.  We have bought and reserved billiard tables and bowling lanes for our class on an hourly basis.  The fee includes this cost as well as the cost for food.

Why did we have to pay to have the picnic in the park?

The park is free, but the rental of the pavilion is not.  If we did not pay and reserve the pavilion then if another group is there, we have no access to the pavilion.  In the event of rain, we will have a large area to congregate in case the rain slacks up and eat.

Why is the picture included in the package price?

Most photographers don't charge a price to come and set up, but they will require your event to guarantee a minimum amount of pictures taken. We have to remember that this is a profession and if we have the photographer come out and only 5 people take a picture then that is only $40.00 which is not worth the time, supplies and effort that they have put into it.  This way we will guarantee that the photographer will have the number of pictures needed and everyone will have a wonderful keepsake of our first reunion.

Why do I have to complete the questionnaire if I am not going to the reunion and why is the Memory Book so important?

We are designing a Memory Book. This book will include the classmates information, ads for their personal businesses, successes, accomplishments, regrets, etc.  It will also list the families and pictures from past to present.  The Memory Book is included in the cost for the reunion.  We have spoken with our classmates who are fighting our country in and we have promised to send a Memory Book to them.  We have classmates who have gone on before us and we want to honor them at this time and provide their families with a Memory Book, so that they will know that they are gone and not forgotten.  We have classmates that for some reason or another got mixed up with the wrong crowd and are not able to attend and we have promised their families that we will give a memory book.   The Memory Book is not about us it's about what it can do for someone else. The Memory Book will not be possible without the memories and input of all of the classmates.  Like it or not we all share a common bond and our mission should be to unite and lift each other up, not conquer and divide.  Please email your pictures or contact us and we will go with you to Wal-Mart and scan them so that we can have a nice book.
